A stunning example of an iridescent multi-ammonite fossil containing the species Psiloceras planorbis from North Somerset, UK.

The piece of limestone matrix measures 115 mm (4.53 inches) across and contains multiple ammonites of various sizes. The ammonites are well preserved and have been prepared out of the rock to reveal the shells, which display some nice rainbow-iridescent colours that change depending on the angle that the fossil is viewed at with a nice mix of oranges and greens. The fossil weighs 230 grams and has a cut-flat base to allow it to stand freely for display in multiple ways. These beautiful iridescent ammonite display pieces make great pieces for natural interior design.

Around 200 million years old (Hettangian, Early Jurassic), this fossil would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
