A stunning example of a highly pyritised multi-ammonite fossil containing the species Eoderoceras (Eteoderoceras) armatum from the world-famous Jurassic Coast beach of Charmouth, Dorset UK.
The fossil measures 52 mm (2.05 inches) across with matrix and contains multiple ammonites of the same species. The ammonites are well preserved in a pyrite matrix and have a beautiful metallic iron pyrite colour and shine. These are very popular ammonites but are becoming hard to find due to lack of erosion of the right layers in the cliffs.
Around 196 million years old, this fossil would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
