A pair of highly pyritised ammonite fossils of the species Crucilobiceras densinodulum from the world-famous Jurassic Coast beach of Charmouth, Dorset UK.
The fossils measure just over 7 mm (0.3 inches) across, which is very small for this species. They have been matched to be offered together as a similar size and quality. The ammonites are well preserved on both sides. The ribs are very finely defined and the pyritic colour and shine is beautiful. Two great examples of the species and incredible in the flesh.
These pyrite ammonites have long been used to make beautiful natural jewellery.
Around 196 million years old, this fossil would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
