A highly pyritised ammonite fossil of the species Eoderoceras bispinigerum from the world-famous Jurassic Coast beach of Charmouth, Dorset UK.
The fossil measures 25 mm (1 inch) across. The ammonite is well preserved on both sides with detailed suture lines, spines, and ribbing. These are very popular ammonites but are becoming hard to find due to lack of erosion of the right layers in the cliffs. This is quite a rare species that has a distinctive feature - two rows of spines running along the whorls.
Around 196 million years old, this fossil would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
