A stunning example of a highly pyritised ammonite fossil of the species Crucilobiceras densinodulum from the world-famous Jurassic Coast beach of Charmouth, Dorset UK.
The fossil measures 18 mm (0.7 of an inch) across. The ammonite shell is very well preserved on both sides with great detail in the ribbing and a nice metallic pyritic shine. These beautiful fossils have long been used to make natural jewellery.
Around 196 million years old, this fossil would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
