A stunning example of a highly pyritised ammonite fossil of the species Eoderoceras (Eteoderoceras) armatum from the world-famous Jurassic Coast beach of Charmouth, Dorset UK.

The fossil measures 56 mm (2.2 inches) across. The ammonite is beautifully preserved with a small hole in the very centre. The suture lines are clearly visible and very striking. The ribs are well defined and it has a wonderful golden colour and shine. A crack in the shell has been stabilised. These are very popular ammonites but are becoming hard to find due to lack of erosion of the right layers in the cliffs.

Around 196 million years old, this fossil would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
