A stunning example of a highly pyritised ammonite fossil of the species Eoderoceras (Eteoderoceras) armatum from the world-famous Jurassic Coast beach of Charmouth, Dorset UK.
The fossil measures 80 mm (3.12 inches) across with matrix which is large for this species. The ammonite is beautifully preserved on both sides and is perfect to the very centre on one side. The ribs are very finely defined and the colour is beautiful. These ammonites are becoming harder to find these days. This is a very sought after species and this one is a real beauty.
Around 196 million years old, this fossil would make a wonderful addition to any collection
